Touch Screen Car Stereos

Hello everyone! I am going to try to describe to you a really cool gadget which you can put in your car.

Driving in your beloved car is a great expirience, especially for new drivers, but sometimes the drives tend to get boring when you get yourself in a traffic jam or on a long distance travel. That fact is now being recognized by many car accessory manufactures and they are now producing all kinds of gadgets to make driving more fun. One of those gadgets is called a touch screen car radio. If you would buy yourself one, you can imagine how easy it would be to play some music, play a movie, some funny clips or even to view some pictures of your friends and family.

With a modern stereo you can connect your music in a few ways, which is good. Music can be played from MP3, WMA and AAC formats or from a regular CD audio format. As for videos, there is much large base of supported formats, for example: WMV, DIVX, XVID, MPEG, MP4 etc. For pictures, formats are mainly JPEG, GIF and PNG. Those were the formats. Now, you are probably saying: “Ok, now I know which formats are accepted, so how do I connect it to my touch screen radio?”. The answer is that you can connect it in almost every way invented up to today. The files can be played from a CD or a DVD disc, USB memory stick (all sizes are supported), MMC and SD card (these can be found in digital cameras and cell phones) and iPod and iPhone are supported in almost all models. So as you can see, there are a lot of options and you can use the one you like the most. The sound quality is awesome, you don’t need to worry about that.

These were the most important things to known about touch screen stereos. Other things to known are,there are two types of stereos - single din and double din. It depends which fit in your car. The stereos are made in mostly with a 7-inch screen, but there are also smaller 5-inch ones available. Some of the screens are motorized and some are not. GPS navigation is an option to consider. The most known manufacturers are: Jensen, Planet Audio, Kenwood, Alpine, TKO Audio, BOSS, Clarion, Pyle, Sony, Absolute, Sound Stream, Quantum FX, JVC, Legacy and DTI.

I went with a friend of mine to see Star Trek: The IMAX Experience at the AMC Theatre in Burbank today. I drove out of my way to see the film on the large IMAX screen and paid an extra $5 for the ticket, which felt worth it at the time.
